To celebrate my 1O1st post, I'm going to show you the five year old I live with:

Some of his favourite things include:

1. Going fast

2. Eating chicken nuggets

3 Getting dirty.

ripped wife, happy life

Warren brought home a bike trainer this week.  Now I can start watching all the cable he bought because he can't say no to a deal (#embarrassing), while burning all those Happy Diet calories (#theyarethedevil) because I can't say no to the carbs (#mostlyfrenchfries).

The finished product.

Warren doesn't like being called a house-boy.

In related news, my sit-bones are furious today.

Wasps, Bikes, and Cookies

To keep a record of how this First Year of marriage is faring, I'm going to try to do one blog post a week as a sum-up of all the fun we're having.  (Unless there is no fun to speak of, in which case I'll post my favourite sad songs for the week.)

{ I'm not usually squeamish about wasps, but this one sounded like a motorcycle. Warren annihilated him, but it took three hits with a shoe to get him to go down.  Terrifying. }

Here's a picture of Warren being a champ and sanding down our tandem bike frame by hand so we can paint it candy apple red and be the envy of hipsters everywhere. }

 { While Warren sanded down the tandem,  I sat on this. }

And ate these. }

{ Running low on cookies is a problem over here, so I made more.  I accidentally used mint chocolate chips instead of regular ones, which could have been a disaster.}

{ They were, however, received well. }

Ridin' Dirty

Warren came home from a bike ride tonight and although I didn't manage to take a picture of his clothes before he stuffed them into the wash, or his face before he showered, I CAN show you his shoes.

You should see the bike.

Calgary is the new Edmonton

Warren and i hit up calgary this weekend to:
a) hang out with my parents
b) attend a photography seminar

But what we actually did was:
a) hang out with my parents
b) sit on the couch watching battlestar galactica until 5 in the morning
c) go bike shopping at Bike Bike
d) go book shopping

Obviously we had a way more productive weekend than we planned.
